ABOUT THE ROLE This Senior Safety Manager role is for a minimum of 12-months with a strong possibility of an extension. This role requires an effective leader with strong Distribution Centre (DC) and warehouse experience. Based approx. 35km west of Melbourne, this role will support a national retail organisation with strategically important deliverables. The successful candidate must be located in Melbourne and have relevant DC experience. This role may include: Deep expertise in warehousing, automation and distribution centres Track record of building high performance safety cultures in an operation setting Strong leadership capability to influence operations without authority Experience in developing interface plans or leading Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) risk reviews Great interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence Facilitate complex risk workshops with cross functional teams Creating simple and effective health and safety systems to support end user Expertise in traffic management, dangerous goods and transport a bonus.
