Permanent full time opportunity to lead the development, implementation and review of safety management systems and processes for Building Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) activities, construction and maintenance work, high risk work and contractor management throughout Metro North Health (MNH). This will include effectively and efficiently informing and supporting all levels of staff on meeting Work Health and Safety legislative and system requirements. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Develop, implement and review of safety management systems and processes for BEMS related activities. Provide an executive and senior management advisory service. Deliver tactical interventions to address legislative compliance, detailed risk profiles and implement improved management systems within BEMS MNHHS. Monitor state and national legislative developments and respond to their impacts on BEMS activities. Work in consultation with the relevant MNHHS groups (including Health and Safety Unit) to achieve consistency of health and safety strategies, service delivery arrangements and performance outcomes. Ensure the alignment of BEMS health and safety procedures and the MNHHS safety management system to achieve consistency.
