Description Mission Statement: Responsible for sales of Automation and Communication (AC) business within Power Grid Automation BU in accordance with strategy. Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Your responsibilities: You will support and grow Sales within Automation (Substation Protection and Control) and Communication in Australia. Supporting full sales process from Promotion, Product Homologation, Distributor Channel development and direct sales to Utility and Industry Customers. You will create added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi Energy offering and strategy. You will prepare sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls. You will identify Sales opportunities and use CRM tool to record and share. You will lead direct relation, communication with customers and lead negotiation. You must ensure most competitive offer taking into account the market situation and customer’s conditions. Identifies which approach (e.g. direct sales, consortium, or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer. You will support bid/no bid analyses and decisions. Participates in project risk review processes. You will direct relations with customers, Channel partners, Distributors, Potential Third Party suppliers. You will work with Account managers, Bid and Proposal team, Solution line specialists, Country and Regional management. You will lead, drive and hold itself accountable for the highest standards of health, safety and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved. You will be responsible for compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures, ensuring proactive risk assessments take place and corrective actions monitored/followed up. Build an injury, incident, near miss and hazard reporting culture within the team, guaranteeing reported incidents will be investigated and action taken. You will create a workplace where everyone views health, safety and environment as the most important non-negotiable value of your business. Your background: Engineering/Trade qualifications – Electrical or equivalent. 10 years’ experience in Sales skills required. Experience across Electrical Industry within Utilities, Power T&D or Power Systems projects, especially in Substation Automation & Communication is an advantage. Advanced computer skills across MS Office, MSTeams, Outlook, Sharepoint. Good written and verbal English communication skills, high attention to detail.
