Our client’s solutions enable customers to deploy mission-critical technology either on-premises or in the cloud. This position is an individual contributor role, responsible for generating new business sales from the Financial Services Industry in the assigned geography. It plays a key role in achieving sales targets and implementing account plans and strategies, while further expanding our client’s already strong footprint in the territory by growing and developing the business through sales strategies derived from a regional growth plan. Senior Sales Manager typically comes from a reputable background of large banking and payments solution providers such as Mambu, Backbase, Nucleus Software, nCino, TurnKey Lender, Fiserv, Q2 Software, Tuum, SAP, Oracle, Temenos, FIS, Finastra, Avaloq, Calypso, Murex, Edgeverve, TCS BANCS, 3i Infotech, ACI, FundTech, SAP Financials, ION, Broadbridge, SS&C, or Smartstream but could also be senior managers and directors from the Financial Services arms of organizations such as Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, CapGemini, PWC, IBM, Infosys and similar. Key responsibilities: Network – Market – Identify – Sell – CLOSE Well-networked with the C- Suite of Australian Banks and FI Achieve sales objectives by initiating contact with prospective customers to sell our client's Banking and Payments software, also related services if required. Build and nurture long-term relationships within the banking sector. Provide insight and outline effective sales campaigns to operate successfully in competitive bid scenarios. Establish and own the plans and strategies aimed at serving and expanding the Banking and Financial Services customer base. Identify market opportunities that contribute to the development and growth of a strong sales pipeline which will enable annual targets to be met. Deliver accurate short-, medium-, and long-term forecasts. Be part of the regional and global reporting, sales projections, and pipeline management cycles. Required Skills & Qualifications: Hunter and Closer 15+ years of professional experience in sales and account management capacity of Complex Banking Solutions or Core Banking Solutions or Payments Solutions to Australian Banks and Financial Institutions A proven track record of achieving sales targets in the Banking and Financial services sectors in any area. Excellent knowledge and contacts within the banking and financial sector across Australia Strong business knowledge on Banking and Payments Solutions Ability to lead complex sales engagements where appropriate and to manage major/strategic accounts. Experience in complex sales at senior levels, building long-term strategic and executive relationships, and opportunity planning. Strong commercial awareness, excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel as needed.
