Senior Scala Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Scala Developer to join a team of highly skilled professionals working on new product development for one of the globally recognized financial institutions. This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw or Krakow. If you're ready to make an impact in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Design and implement user-friendly applications, which integrate seamlessly into our application landscape. Improve current and develop new features for several trading application GUIs. Translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical designs. Work closely with other senior software engineers, PMs, BAs, and business users (clients) to find the best possible technical solution for the project/available requirements. Support the production users and investigate issues in production when contacted by the support team. Requirements Familiarity with our technology stack: Scala, Functional Programming, Akka Streams, Akka HTTP, ScalaTest, Mockito, Kafka, Liquibase, Slick, PostgreSQL, Gradle, Gatling, TeamCity, Git. Good knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Strong communication skills. Proven record of successful delivery & ability to work to deadlines. Working knowledge of the Securities Lending business area, and understanding of the various flows and complexities associated with it.
