About the Role: We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Senior Scientific Officer - Soils to join our innovative team within the Science and Information branch. The Senior Scientific Officer - Soils delivers scientific and strategic advice and services to support the ongoing achievement of DEW's strategic priorities involving the sustainable use and management of South Australia's soil and land resources. The position requires the ability to coordinate and deliver soil information projects and tasks that inform planning, implementation and management, and to ensure the continued development and integration of soil quality data and information, to underpin primary production, ecosystem services, economic and social values. The role will involve developing and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders within the Agency, across government, industry, community and research institutions. What can we offer you! Contract: Contract up to 31 December 2026 Essential Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or equivalent is essential. Special Conditions: May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties. May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work. A current class “C” driver’s licence is essential. Remuneration: PO3 - $101,285 min - $107,078 max p.a. Applications are to be submitted online through I WORK FOR SA.
