The Senior Search Ads Specialist will be a key part of our dynamic Performance team. You will be responsible for overseeing performance marketing across all Google Ads for some of Australia’s most exciting ecommerce brands. As part of the squad assigned to each client, you will optimise campaigns to surpass revenue and efficiency KPIs through creative experimentation and advanced media buying strategies. Applicants must be based in / willing to travel to either Sydney or Adelaide as we offer a flexible hybrid approach but we do require office meets for team building activities and collaboration. Aim to achieve global expert status in Google Ads by engaging with all available training and development initiatives, and actively participating in relevant channels and events Collaboratively develop Google Ads Best Practices, sharing knowledge on ad structures, funnels, KPIs, and more Provide mentorship to team members eager to advance their skills, offering guidance that spans the gamut from campaign uploading to advanced management techniques Stay at the forefront of digital marketing innovations, especially in Google Ads, by partnering with cross-functional teams and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement Lead by example in our internal community, especially on platforms like Slack, showcasing your contributions with humility and significant impact Ensure meticulous daily campaign and budget tracking, while also safeguarding our clients' brand integrity Champion our data-tech capabilities, suggesting enhancements to analytics, attribution, and tracking to maximise brand conversion rates Collaborate with the internal and external creatives to recommend creative formats and report back learnings that could benefit future creatives Analyse data analytics to identify areas of opportunity and utilise conversion rate optimisation tactics and A/B split testing to improve revenue, MER, ROAS Basic tag management set-up and implementation and working with the dev team for more complex deployments Support the Head of Performance to ensure we are on target for Growth Forecasts. Escalate where there is a lack of comfort regarding these drivers Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance marketing with an emphasis on Google Ads In-depth knowledge of key ecommerce metrics like LTV, MER, and CAC, and a proven track record of optimising these metrics Prior in-house experience with a high-growth ecommerce brand is a significant plus Familiarity with Shopify, Magento, Big Commerce, or similar platforms Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field; any digital marketing certification is highly regarded Comprehensive knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing concepts Proven track record of managing substantial budgets and campaigns across multiple channels Experience creating and managing product feeds Exceptional problem-solving skills and project management abilities Proficiency in using Excel and Google Sheets to analyse and interpret data Genuine passion for mastering performance marketing and propelling ecommerce brands A client-first mindset, treating client campaigns and budgets as your own Ability to excel in a collaborative, high-performance team Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Masterful time management abilities Experience managing and briefing Suppliers/Stakeholders and other associates to pull together the content needed for ads: Graphics, copy, videos, different formats Experience owning all A/B testing and experiments across funnels Comfort owning media budgets, targets, media forecasts and pitching for bigger budgets Demonstration of thinking outside the box to engineer big outcomes without following platform 101 Key Performance Indicators Achieving conversion breakthroughs and growth forecasts Managing and optimising media budgets Demonstrating leadership both externally in the Google Ads community and internally within the team Maintaining strong team relationships and upholding company values Values Lead by example: Set a positive and professional tone for your team by demonstrating the behaviours and work ethic you expect from them Communicate clearly: Foster open and transparent communication with your team members.
