Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence. Your role: The Senior Solution Configuration Manager is a proactive technical leader who excels in driving configuration management activities through collaborative leadership, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to team development. You will thrive in challenging environments, demonstrating exceptional initiative, responsibility, and a passion for knowledge sharing. By mentoring team members, championing innovative solutions, and ensuring seamless process integration, you will play a critical role in optimizing organizational configuration management strategies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position is based at our World Trade Centre office in Melbourne CBD with hybrid working options available. Some key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Coordinate all the Configuration Management activities within your project(s) in collaboration with all the stakeholders, in particular the Project Managers (PMs), the Product or System Engineering Delivery Managers (EDMs), the Work Package Managers (WPMs), and other CM team members. Organise the Configuration Management activities and interface with the Project Managers on the planning and management aspects Establish and implement the configuration management Plan Specify the configuration management requirements to subcontractors and suppliers On day one you will come with: Substantial knowledge of the CM discipline with 10+ years’ experience in support of Configuration Management within major Engineering projects Experience with the Configuration Management toolset (Windchill or similar) and its interactions with associated systems. Familiarity with the interaction of the Configuration Management discipline with other operational and support disciplines across the product and project lifecycles. Demonstrated desire for continuous improvement and a capacity to develop a strategic vision: you are able to integrate and even anticipate the various elements of your environment in order to guide the team through the challenges prompted by competitiveness Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent.
