Senior Sous Chef – Up to $110K+S, 45Hrs, Central Coast, Large Team & Busy Venue Senior sous chef role with good work-life balance Great $$$ + tips, chance for 4-day roster, beautiful location — NSW Central Coast Escape the city chaos — only 1.5hr North of Sydney This role is based on the Central Coast, NSW—1.5 hours from Sydney. Visa transfer and short-term accommodation may be available for the right candidate. The Venue This well-known and respected restaurant attracts both locals and Sydney diners. It’s busy year-round, week in and week out, offering stunning views and décor to match! You’ll be working with top-quality produce, crafting dishes to a high standard in a professional and profitable venue. Plus, with a well-established company, you’ll enjoy enviable job security. The Team It’s a big team you will be leading so you will need to be a strong and confident leader and comfortable working within a fast-moving, busy, quality venue. The Executive Chef is strong, smart and supportive, known for his modern man-management, running a tight ship and creating positive energy in the kitchen. The broader management team has worked together for many years and is a professional and motivated group of hospitality veterans. They believe in responsible and honest 360 communication. You’ll have a supportive management team that is always looking out for staff members. What You Will Need Most systems and procedures are already in place, but the company seeks an experienced, hands-on chef. With the Executive Chef handling most admin, this role focuses on kitchen prep and service. The ideal candidate is Someone who thinks outside of the square when it comes to implementing new systems in the kitchen and making sure all the chefs maintain it. A chef who is always on the ball and a forward thinker. Always 2 steps ahead of what is going to happen next. (Problem Solver) Highly organised and can maintain high consistency in service and prep. Can create a calm and collaborative energy with their staff and not get frustrated in stressful situations.
