Three Blue Ducks in Bellingen are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team. Job Description Are you an experienced chef with a passion for sustainable, farm-to-table dining? Three Blue Ducks Bellingen is on the lookout for a Senior Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen team and bring our ethos of honest, local, and seasonal food to life. About the Role As Senior Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the kitchen’s day-to-day operations, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality dishes that reflect our paddock-to-plate philosophy. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring junior chefs, and takes pride in delivering exceptional food. Key Responsibilities Supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations Leading and mentoring a talented kitchen team Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation Managing stock, suppliers, and ordering Upholding food safety and hygiene regulations Assisting with menu development, incorporating local and seasonal produce Skills & Expertise Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen Passion for sustainable, seasonal cooking and working with local producers Strong leadership and communication skills A team player who enjoys a positive, collaborative kitchen culture Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain) Ready to join the Ducks?If this sounds like the opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you!
