YOUR ROLE As a Senior Lawyer, you’ll join IAG’s high performing legal team (awarded the 2022 Large Legal Team of the Year at the ACC Corporate Lawyer awards). In this role, you will work within the Insurance - Projects, Reinsurance and Distribution team, partnering closely with the business to provide high quality advice and input to support the organisation’s legal response to regulatory change projects. This role will support projects that impact the insurance business, champion ethical conduct and practices, build partnerships and work collaboratively in a high performing, customer-focused team. You will be passionate about establishing deep and effective relationships with business partners and peers to understand their business drivers and strategic priorities. This is a 12-month max term contract role based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) or Melbourne (Naarm). ABOUT YOU Proven legal practice experience required in the following functional areas: insurance law including knowledge of general insurance products, licensing requirements, dealing with regulators such as ASIC and APRA, general commercial contracts and advisory. Well-developed legal skills (e.g. written communications, advisory, contract drafting, relationship building). Excellent stakeholder and project management skills with the ability to proactively provide strategic and customer-centric solutions. Ability to triage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Advanced understanding of general insurance and/or the broader financial services industry desirable. Applications close – Friday, 14 March at 23:59 AEDT.
