Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist or Senior Medical Officer (Psychiatry of Older Persons - Psychogeriatrician) (Bundaberg) Queensland Health (Organisation site ( Older Persons Mental Health Unit, Wide Bay Mental Health and Specialised Services, Bundaberg Hospital We are seeking experienced and passionate Staff Specialist (Psychiatry of Older Persons - Psychogeriatrician) to join the Subacute Older Persons Mental Health Team at the Bundaberg Hospital. Your opportunity: The Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS) provides comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of older adults with complex mental health conditions in a range of settings including acute inpatient and community mental health. This position will provide clinical leadership, supervision and training within multidisciplinary adult mental health team/s across the Service, to support high quality patient care. To facilitate continuous service evaluation, and allow for the development of service initiatives in mental health. Opportunity for Private Practice: The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals. The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with: Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice Introduction to local GP's, physicians and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways. Our offer: We are offering a competitive remuneration package value up to $528,085 p.a., including salary between $182,106 - $266,677 p.a., generous employer superannuation (up to 12.75%), salary sacrifice perks, and flexible rostering for optimal work/life balance.
