As such, an outstanding opportunity presents for a talented and experienced Senior Store Manager to ‘take the reigns’ of their iconic Darwin store, a massive trader amongst the group. Take on full 'end to end' store accountability for driving sales, building customer relationships, managing store KPI’s and promotions and ensuring merchandising standards are at a superior level Influence, motivate, develop and inspire your team to deliver an exceptional retail experience and service to customers that will ensure customers keep coming back, every time Consistently improve current systems, processes and control measures to ensure full retail operational excellence Use your solid retail skills to ensure the fundamentals are exceptionally executed, including full stock on shelf, cleanliness, customer service, VM and loss prevention Communicate effectively and positively with the store team to execute change initiatives and implement new ideas (whether yours or that of your team) Closer to the new relocation of the store (July/Aug 2025), actively recruit and build on your team and play a pivotal role in defining ‘what good looks like’ in the new location, to ensure to leverage every opportunity across sales, service and store presentation Be getting involved in the local community and become the respected ‘local hero’ and trusted ‘face’ of the Total Tools Darwin store Have fun with your team and celebrate all the wins, life’s too short not to! Here’s what it will take: You are a credible, highly experienced and are an engaging Senior Store Manager with years of proven experience in a large format retailer You have an affinity/appreciation for hardware/tools ; whether through your retail career or personal interests. Working experience within the category is NOT at all essential You are community minded: you thrive being the face of the store and being involved and sponsoring local community initiatives You inspire : You have led and inspired large retail teams to achieve success. You are recognised as a ‘born leader’ You love customers : they are centric to everything you do and every decision you make You drive sales with an upbeat approach, have a natural ability to engage You have well-honed operational skills across inventory planning and management, visual merchandising and you have shrewd financial control.
