The selected candidate will jointly unlock value from Qatar Airways Strategic Alliance with Virgin Australia, including opportunity identification, business case approval, project implementation, and ongoing creation. Support line manager with preparation and monitoring of annual budget, ensure compliance with Alliance and Partnerships requirements, and develop into a core subject matter expert within Strategic Alliances division. Lead and coordinate the work streams across all business areas, both internally and externally, supporting the promotion, management, and organization of the Qatar Airways – Virgin Australia Partnership initiatives across both companies. Responsible to analyse and report partnership performance and KPIs and identify incremental benefits to enhance Qatar Airways & Virgin Australia network reach and strategic positioning and responsible to manage ad-hoc requests to add value to both carriers. Accountabilities: Unlock value from Qatar Airways Strategic Alliance with Virgin Australia, including opportunity identification, business case approval, project implementation, and ongoing creation. Identify top-line and bottom-line opportunities, initiate and coordinate implementation projects across all business areas, including Passenger business, Cargo, Procurement, Technical workstreams. Lead and coordinate meetings and working groups, both internal and external as required. Support with the promotion, management, and organization of all Qatar Airways – Virgin Australia Partnership initiatives across the company, both with internal and external stakeholders. Analyse the Partnership performance and KPIs and identify incremental benefits to enhance QR and VA network reach and strategic positioning. Support with the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget. Ensure compliance with alliance requirements where applicable. Manage seasonal codeshare approval process in compliance with the respective civil aviation authorities’ requirements. Manage ad-hoc alliance requests relating to the Qatar Airways – Virgin Australia Partnership within PRM, Sales, Distribution, Network Planning, Procurement, Technical, Cargo and other divisions which add value to both carriers. Manage business case approval process on behalf of the alliance planning teams. Support department head with preparation and monitoring of the performance of the partnership. Previous experience in corporate planning. Deep understanding of commercial aviation, strategic planning, and business management. Project management, Management consultancy or advisory experience is an added advantage. Ability to perform key data mining and review/interpret market research reports. Comprehensive understanding of commercial aviation economics. Knowledge of analysis and modelling techniques is desired. Knowledge of Statistical analysis tools.
