About the role We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to support our Investment Data Platform Team, which maintains and enhances the Investment Data Platforms at CBUS. The successful candidate will work closely with front, middle, and back-office investment teams to understand their data needs and ensure that data solutions meet business requirements. This role requires an understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile project methodologies. The ideal candidate will also understand workflows within Investment office operations and have some experience in handling Investment data. You will play a pivotal role in eliciting, documenting, and communicating business and technical requirements. In addition, you will coordinate across teams to support sprint planning, releases, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) activities. To be successful you will have a number of years' experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally within data platforms or data engineering teams. You will be skilled at coupling the end-to-end skills needed as BA (Requirement gathering/Running Workshops/Stakeholder Management) with technical expertise across the SDLC and Data. You will be familiar with data engineering concepts, pipelines, and tools in the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks). You will have the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements and be skilled at identifying potential risks and proposing mitigations in data projects. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ideally you will be vastly experienced in the Investment / Superannuation domain and be able to hit the ground running as part of a high performing and collaborative team.
