(Allowances and Leaves benefits included) Position Description: Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Test Analyst (APS 6) to join their high-performing team. As part of our commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality data to support informed decision-making across Australia, the Senior Test Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of our data systems, platforms, and applications. This includes working with Power BI, SQL Query, and Azure technologies to test solutions and ensure they meet client's standards for reliability, functionality, and security. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in quality assurance, a deep understanding of modern testing tools, and experience working in a government environment. Key Responsibilities : Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts for client data systems, applications, and reporting platforms, focusing on Power BI, SQL, and Azure-based solutions. Conduct manual and automated testing across a variety of systems to verify their functionality, security, and performance against requirements. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers, to ensure all requirements are thoroughly tested. Identify, log, and track defects or issues to resolution, ensuring high-quality outcomes and minimal system disruptions. Use your expertise to suggest areas for improvement in testing processes, automating repetitive tasks, and increasing efficiency. Report test results and issues, providing clear feedback and actionable recommendations to the relevant stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing function, ensuring we maintain and grow testing capability within the client. Collaborate with team members to create and maintain testing environments in Azure. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior testers, promoting best practices and a culture of quality.
