Organisation: Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action Occupation: Policy Reference: VG/50937889B/ The Bulk Entitlements and Systems (BES) team is responsible for overseeing and driving continuous improvement of Victoria's bulk water sharing and operating arrangements. The BES team is looking for a person with great problem solving, communication and relationship-building skills, with knowledge of water resource management, to fill the role of Senior Water Resource Officer. This is a core position in the BES team that drives the establishment and maintenance of secure and sustainable water sharing arrangements for Victoria. The person in this role will drive implementation of policy and projects including current key Ministerial priorities, like preparing for dry conditions. This is an opportunity to work on a range of interesting and impactful projects, merging policy and technical aspects. The BES team is a supportive, flexible and collaborative team. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications An appropriate qualification in science, engineering, natural resource management, law or approved equivalent would be desirable. Demonstrated experience in or sound knowledge of water resource management and Victoria's water entitlements and allocation framework is highly desirable. This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
