Base pay range $99,348.00/yr - $108,192.00/yr The Women’s Senior Case Manager sits in the Court Innovation Program in the Department of Justice. In this role you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of Court Link as a dedicated women’s case manager. In this dedicated role working with women participating in the Court Link program, you will be responsible for the assessment and case management of women with complex needs including the provision of interventions to address issues related to offending behaviour. Women’s social needs, particularly those of women in contact with the justice system, are often related to experiences of gender-based violence, specifically domestic and family violence and sexual violence. This role requires the development of strong linkages with the community services support sector. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of women participating in the Court Link program with multiple and complex needs, in line with program and organisational standards. Assess the risk and needs of women participating in the program and develop case management plans, including intervention strategies to facilitate engagement with appropriate support and treatment services. Develop and maintain effective relationships with government and community-based stakeholders to initiate, negotiate and facilitate referral pathways and access for women to a range of services in line with program requirements. Provide information and advice to court users and stakeholders about all programs and supports available through Courts Innovation Program. Apply high level professional practice, judgement and decision making ensuring that participant activities are consistent with evidence-based practice. Provide verbal and written advice, including the preparation of accurate reports in a timely manner to the court to assist with bail and sentencing decisions. Liaise, consult, and negotiate with the judiciary, legal profession, and court staff in relation to the management of women within the program, and attend court as required to manage the matters on your caseload. Conduct peer reviews and verifications of assessments and other case planning activities to ensure quality assurance and consistency. Make decisions about the appropriateness of brokerage funding expenditure and appropriate use of resources aligned with case plans, for the women you are working with. Maintain accurate records in a computerised database to support program delivery and effective monitoring.
