Here is what you should know… About the Role The role of Senior WHS Advisor is to support the relevant operations teams in managing site safety obligations and fostering a strong safety culture. Duties include but are not limited to: Develop strong collaborative relationships across all stakeholder groups. Act as the central point for all safety queries and concerns for Processing and Horticulture. Work with operations to develop and implement health and safety initiatives. Advise and support operational implementation of safety policies, procedures, and practices. Deliver on-site training and organise competency assessments, coordination of safety-related external training, and maintaining the training database. Coach and mentor Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs). Facilitate workplace risk assessments and the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures. Implement WHS policies and procedures. Provide guidance to operations on coordinating contractor management. Identify workplace hazards and implement controls. Coordinate Return-To-Work. Prepare reports as necessary. Conduct safety investigations and prepare reports. Travel to sites as required. Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Strong communication skills with various stakeholders including management, employees, and contractors. Tertiary qualifications in WHS, or relevant experience. Certified Return-To-Work Coordinator or willingness to obtain. Driver's Licence. Strong attention to detail. Sound knowledge and understanding of WHS legislation, standards and codes of practice. Be flexible, adaptable, and diplomatic. Ability to travel overnight. Desirable Prior experience using safety systems such as WHS Monitor. Prior experience in agriculture or a food processing environment. What We Are Offering Competitive salary. What You Should Know About Our Operations Our business is widespread, growing walnuts and almonds in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados, mangoes and lemons in Bundaberg, Queensland. Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
