Job Title: Senior - Principal (Environmental) Air Quality Consultant Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia About our client: They specialise in air quality, meteorology, and climate risk management, offering a range of services including air quality impact assessments, weather forecasting, and climate risk adaptations. Job summary: As the new Senior Lead Consultant, you will join the multidisciplinary team in Brisbane, collaborating with colleagues ranging from junior-level team members to seasoned professionals with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their respective fields. Our consultants and managers thrive in a continuous learning environment, gaining knowledge through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on tasks. Key responsibilities: Estimating air emissions and performing engineering assessments of air pollution sources. Conducting air pollution dispersion modeling and evaluating pollution control strategies. Analyzing air quality data through statistical and geospatial methods. Carrying out air monitoring and indoor air quality assessments, and preparing air quality permit applications. Reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Managing client relationships and overseeing the development of deliverables to ensure efficient fulfillment of client requirements. Qualifications: A BS/MS in a relevant engineering field (e.g., chemical, environmental, mechanical) or a science field (e.g., atmospheric science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, or related). At least 6 years of experience in air quality permitting and/or compliance is required. Proficiency in mathematical and computational skills, including advanced use of spreadsheets and word processing, along with strong written/verbal communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
