Location: Perth, CBD The company: Tier 1 EPCM The project: Sustaining Capital iron ore projects Indicative assignment length: Initial 12 months contract (with possible extension) About our client and project A leading provider of engineering consulting services, offering expertise across the entire project life cycle through five business units: Infrastructure, Water, Buildings, Environmental Services, and Energy & Resources. The role Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior/ Lead Civil Engineer to lead a team and manage a portfolio of sustaining capital projects in the mining, ports, and non-process infrastructure (NPI) sectors. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.You will play a key role in delivering innovative and high-quality engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. What you’ll be doing Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, particularly in ports, NPI, and mining infrastructure. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to civil engineering teams, fostering collaboration and professional development. Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulations, and project specifications. Utilize MicroStation and other engineering design software to create detailed engineering plans and documentation. Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and efficient execution. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, particularly in mining infrastructure and civil design. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in mining infrastructure projects. Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering sustaining capital projects. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships. Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
