On Offer Competitive salary package commensurate with experience Opportunity to work for a Global Company Learning & Development opportunities to progress your career Employee Assistance Program Employee Referral Program Paid Community Service Leave Main tasks and responsibilities Workshop Duties Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and emergency corrective repairs on Straddle Carriers, Reach Stackers, Forklift trucks, Quay cranes and ancillary equipment. Carry out fault finding and general repair work on Straddle Carriers, Reach Stackers, Forklift trucks, Quay cranes and ancillary equipment. Carry out PM servicing as required in compliance with PM schedules provided Ensure all repair and service work is carried out in an efficient and timely manner. Ability to work independently and without direct supervision. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company OHS&E regulations. Ensure the working area is kept in a clean and tidy condition Ensure that tools and equipment supplied by the company are kept clean and in good condition Administration Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner Other Represent the company in a professional manner to meet the client’s expectations Other tasks as directed by Site Supervisor What you’ll need to succeed Education Australian or recognized Electrical Mechanical trade qualification Minimum completion of year 10 Preferred Elevated work platform license Knowledge of current ports mechanical and electrical crane control systems. Demonstrates working knowledge of Siemans the S7 PLC, CITECT, AC & DC drives and crane management software currently used in future advances at the port. Working knowledge and use of electrical schematics and symbols; AC/DC motors and drives; PLC computer systems; troubleshooting techniques and limit-setting procedures Operates mechanical boom and cable equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluates correctness and completeness of repairs that have been done on the machine. Experience Minimum 10 years post apprenticeship experience: specializing in fault finding, repairs and PM service on heavy plant. E.g. earth moving equipment, heavy duty forklift trucks, container handling equipment, mining equipment, marine equipment, generating sets, electrics forklifts etc. Skills & Knowledge Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electronics and/or diesel engines Basic to intermediate skills using Microsoft Windows Applications / DOS based programs Strong analytical and numeracy skills Sound communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent interpersonal skills (ability to deal with all stakeholders in the business) Knowledge of the mechanical handling, port or industrial operations industry sector Customer orientated Team player Ability to participate in all training and development programs Ability to get things done Cultural sensitivity and adaptability Additional Other duties as requested by your manager Able to lift heavy objects in line with OH&S guidelines Able to work at heights Be in good general physical condition You will be part of We believe in our people as it is our people who really make the difference.
