Harrison-Barratt Group are assisting a national builder in the Tier 2 commercial space in securing an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction of a prestigious $250M landmark tower in the heart of Sydney CBD.This ambitious and iconic project will redefine the skyline and will serve as a hub for innovation, retail, and office space. We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Manager to join their team and oversee the daily operations of this transformative development.Role Overview: As Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of the construction site. You will manage all aspects of the on-site operations, from overseeing subcontractors to ensuring safety standards, quality, and timely delivery. Your leadership and expertise will play a critical role in turning this vision into a reality.Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage, coordinate, and direct a team of subcontractors, laborers, and other site personnel. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including conducting regular site safety inspections and managing risk assessments. Liaise with the project team, clients, architects, and consultants to resolve issues and provide updates on progress. Maintain a site log, track progress against milestones, and report any delays or disruptions to senior management. Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and project standards. Prepare and manage the site’s budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and minimizing wastage. Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and productive site environment. Ensure that environmental policies and sustainability practices are adhered to throughout the project. Requirements: Proven Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of site management experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in managing large-scale projects, preferably in high-rise towers or similar developments. Education: Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and coordinating subcontractors. Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices. Health & Safety: Proven track record of enforcing health and safety regulations on-site. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues on-site and develop practical solutions quickly and efficiently. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants. Desirable: Previous experience working on landmark or iconic tower projects. Familiarity with project management software or construction scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Aconex, MS Project).
