Add expected salary to your profile for insights We are seeking a Site Manager for this site on the Gold Coast. This is a challenging role as we know what we are looking for - is that you? Are you up for the challenge? Do you have your site supervisor licence and a strong understanding and experience in volume building (handing over 10 homes per month)? We are not looking for someone who has managed several one-off builds; we are talking true high volume! This site has over 500 villas waiting to be built, and there is a great Supervisor in place to assist and look for mentorship. About the Role! An experienced QBCC Licenced Site Manager in volume building. This is a full-time role to join our Construction Teams at our flagship Gold Coast Resort. A huge site that has 2 residential teams working on different stages of the site, with at least 3 years' work at this site. This is one of many resorts that are currently under construction, with many more in the pipeline for future development. There is an opportunity for a great career with GemLife (the current Site Manager is moving to a new site). You will also have the support of a site supervisor to assist you in this build. Onsite Companion is the software we use, all set up with the schedule, plus an area manager to support you through the build. *We offer a 9-day fortnight as we understand the hours can be long, ensuring you have a long weekend every 2 weeks! In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for: Managing all aspects of construction on site, ensuring compliance and quality are maintained. Scheduling and supervising contractors, subcontractors, labour, and equipment resources. Managing and coordinating the site Labourers and Operators' daily duties. Liaising with local authorities, utility providers, and design consultants. Sourcing local trade contractors. Attending to project and contract administration duties. Advising on construction efficiencies and troubleshooting where necessary. Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety standards. Working within established project budgets and agreed timelines. About You! To be successful in this role, you will have: 5+ years’ experience in a similar role. Supervisor Licence essential and a relevant qualification in Building & Construction. A trade background and experience in high volume residential construction. OH&S detailed understanding; qualifications are even better! A detailed understanding of the development process from design, approval, and construction delivery. Local industry knowledge and established networks. Driver's Licence. Excellent management and communication skills. Proactive and action-oriented, someone who takes responsibility and delivers the agreed outcomes. Calm and confident under pressure, able to adapt to challenging situations and embrace change. Comfortable with problem-solving and the ability to share a vision and consider others' ideas. Previous experience with building software, preferably Onsite Companion, but not essential.
