Namoi Cotton focuses on safety, outstanding customer service, operational excellence, and people. The company is seeking the services of a suitably qualified Site Manager. You will be an energetic and progressive individual to manage the efficient day-to-day operations of the Cotton Gin at Wathagar which is approximately 30km from Moree, New South Wales. Core Accountabilities Safety compliance for the site Maintenance Schedule at site level Operational performance of the Site during season to meet KPI’s, including throughput rate, and cost per unit of production. Oversee maintenance program during ‘off season’ to ensure the planned schedule is communicated, resourced, problem checked, and achieved Ensure smooth running of the site to achieve business outcomes and high level of bale input without compromising on compliance and safety Adherence to all company standards, policies and procedures and safety systems. Adhere to health well-being and safety and lead by example Management of personnel from recruitment to separation Coordination of external stakeholders, including growers and contractors Environmental Reporting and Hazard Identification Commitment to undertake all training as required by the company Commitment to understanding and abide by all current company and policy as subject to change from time to time Extended hours will be required during "peak seasons" to deal with the increased Cotton Ginning activities during these periods. Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this position, the applicant will preferably have experience in: Managing a diverse team in remote or isolated environments Experience providing out of the box solutions to unique and complex operating problems Understanding of Mechanical Systems, Hydraulics, Distributed Control Systems and Mobile Plant Ability to use computers, radios, phones, tablets to achieve work outcomes Managing site safety and ensuring all staff meet the expectations of the site and business Our ideal candidate would have the following qualifications: Trade Qualified in Mechanical or similar. Certificate III or Higher in Leadership and Management or similar. Conflict resolution training. Industry specific licenses and tickets including open driver’s license.
