Ski Club of Victoria - Ivor Whittaker Lodge Venue: Ski Club of Victoria - Ivor Whittaker Lodge Type: Hotel/Accommodation Operations Employment Type: Casual Season: Winter Date: 29/04/2025 The Ski Club of Victoria, passionately known as ‘The Whitt’, is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to join our dynamic and diverse team for the coming winter season. Live & work on the mountain Onsite shared accommodation provided at a discounted rate Access to Buller Crew program & discounted season pass When the snow falls, ‘The Whitt’ is buzzing and the place to be on the mountain. The Ivor Whittaker Lodge has an accommodation wing consisting of 20 hotel-style rooms, with en-suite bathrooms. We operate 7 days a week, with a busy 100-seater restaurant and bar, café, members lounge, and function rooms. The successful candidate will be a hard-working team player, self-motivated, and possess excellent attention to detail. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded. Duties & Responsibilities: Clean and service guest rooms efficiently, within set time frames. Ensure the highest cleaning standards are maintained, with attention to detail and quality control. Clean and maintain public areas daily – including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and removal of rubbish. Follow standard operating procedures and daily checklists. Report and record any maintenance and safety issues to the front office team or duty manager. Perform minor maintenance tasks and repairs in accommodation rooms and public areas. Maintain strong lines of communication with the front office team. Provide regular updates of room status. Respond to members and guests' complaints/requests in a professional and courteous manner to ensure their needs are met. Monitor stock levels of inventory and consumables and prepare order forms for purchasing. Re-stock cleaning cart and storage cupboards. Ensure all storage areas are kept clean and tidy. In-house laundry duties – washing of dirty linen and storage of clean linen. Perform other related duties and assist other departments as directed by the supervisor or manager. Skills & Qualifications: Experience in a similar role. Effective time management and organizational skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. This is a casual seasonal position across a 7-day operation, which includes early mornings, days, and weekend shifts.
