Be part of a dedicated clinic team Opportunity to learn new skills and develop New modern office in Macquarie Park (within Macquarie University precinct) and across the road from Macquarie Centre Easily accessible by public transport:Macquarie University metro station – a 400m walk away Macquarie Centre bus interchange opposite the office About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Woolcock Sleep Lab as a Casual Sleep Technician (Overnight). This is a multiple casual position with shifts available from Monday to Thursday. The Sleep Technician will be engaged in the setup, care, and performance of sleep studies in our cutting-edge sleep research facility. This includes the areas of quantitative EEG analysis, obstructive sleep apnoea and clinical trials. Duties and responsibilities High patient care and satisfaction Patient monitoring and quality sleep data acquisition for analysis, diagnosis, and treatment of clinical sleep studies Good clinical practice and infection control management Effective operation and maintenance of sleep study equipment About you Demonstrated ability to set up for sleep studies Demonstrated experience in patient data acquisition and management Knowledge of infection control practices Demonstrated ability to follow quality protocols Current CPR certification WWCC (where paediatric care is provided) Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) Sleep equipment knowledge (Compumedics GRAEL, CPAP use, TcCO2) Sleep software knowledge (Profusion) Residency requirements Applicant must have valid working rights in Australia.
