The Social Participation and Diversity Team sits within the Community Diversity and Inclusion Division and is responsible for the City of Salisbury's social support group, meals and centre-based transport Community Home Support Programme services. About the Role Salisbury Home and Community Services is seeking a Social Participation & Diversity Operations Coordinator to oversee the operations of Salisbury Seniors Centres and lead a team delivering Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services. This role ensures high-quality programs that support older adults in maintaining independence, social participation, and wellbeing. You will manage venue operations, staff, volunteers, and contractors, oversee client assessments, and ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards. Additionally, you’ll contribute to strategic planning, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement, making a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults and their carers. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise staff, volunteers, and external contractors to ensure high-quality program delivery Oversee daily operations at Salisbury Seniors Centres (Jack Young Centre, Para Hills Centre, Pine Lakes Centre) Ensure CHSP services are delivered effectively, meeting Aged Care Quality Standards Coordinate CHSP data collection and reporting to support program improvement Manage venue operations, hirer contracts, and compliance with WHS requirements Conduct client reviews and assessments, ensuring a wellness and reablement approach Develop and oversee seniors centre operations, meals services, and community programs Build strong relationships with stakeholders, supporting strategic planning and funding applications To be successful within this role you will possess: Strong leadership and team management experience in community or aged care services Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with older adults and their carers Experience in budgeting, strategic planning, and service coordination Knowledge of CHSP guidelines, aged care quality standards, and wellness approaches Ability to manage client assessments, reviews, and program reporting Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Relevant tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Aged Care, or a related field Comprehensive Benefits Package: Employees at City of Salisbury enjoy a robust benefits package including income protection insurance for personal illnesses or injuries, health and wellness programs designed to support their overall well-being including skin checks, health seminars, flu vaccinations and free access to counselling sessions for you or your immediate family through our Employee Assistance Programs.
