The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in South East Sydney. From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too. As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community. An elderly man living at home in Randwick would enjoy the company of a volunteer. His interests include good conversation (both English and Greek speaking), coffee, and pottering in the garden. He would love to meet someone to join him in a short stroll with his 4-wheel frame. Your Impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
