An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Software Engineering Director to spearhead technology product development for a world-leading organisation. As the Director of Engineering for Technology Product Development, you will oversee large-scale operations, managing a global team of over 400 employees across India and Australia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large teams and a strong background in Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM). Key Responsibilities: Oversee the development, validation, and deployment of office (cloud and on-premises) systems for autonomy applications in mining and construction. Lead global teams in developing and validating on-board technology systems and their integration with machine applications. Provide technology leadership for worksite-based systems and site applications. Supervise, recruit, mentor, and develop a team of over 400 engineers across India and Australia. Manage internal and external partner relationships, ensuring alignment with strategy and business objectives. Drive the adoption of cutting-edge autonomy and automation technologies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics, or Robotics). 15+ years of product development experience in construction, mining, or automotive sectors. 10+ years of supervisory experience, including managing large, global teams. Proven expertise in software development for cloud/on-premises products and embedded systems. Experience with autonomy and automation technologies. Top Candidates Will Also Have: Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration. Extensive experience managing large teams across multiple locations. OEM background with a strong understanding of systems and product development in construction and mining. Exceptional skills in driving technological advancement and balancing technology and business priorities. Strong communication skills, with proven ability to engage technical and business stakeholders globally. Experience working in cross-functional and cross-business unit environments.
