Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to lead the implementation and customization of our childcare management platform. This role involves managing the end-to-end delivery of tailored software solutions, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and a client-first mindset. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Management: Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues promptly to keep projects on track. Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for the enterprise client, building and maintaining strong relationships. Gather and document client requirements, translating them into actionable technical specifications. Provide regular updates and reports to the client on project progress, milestones, and challenges. Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA specialists, to deliver the customized solutions. Ensure seamless communication among team members and stakeholders, fostering collaboration. Monitor team performance and provide guidance to meet project objectives. Customization and Implementation: Oversee the customization of the software platform to align with the client’s unique requirements. Ensure the implementation adheres to best practices, security standards, and compliance regulations. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), addressing feedback and driving iterations as needed. Post-Implementation Support: Facilitate a smooth transition to post-implementation support, ensuring client teams are equipped for success. Provide training and documentation to enable effective use of the customized software. Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of experience in software project management or product management, preferably in EdTech. Proven track record of delivering enterprise-level implementations and customizations. Familiarity with long sales cycles and enterprise client dynamics. Skills: Strong understanding of childcare operations. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving client needs. Education: Bachelor’s degree Preferred Qualifications Experience as an early childhood educator is considered a plus. Experience as a software engineer within EdTech is considered a plus. Experience in customer support, customer success, and/or sales within EdTech. Hands-on experience implementing CRM or ERP systems at enterprise-level clients.
