We develop and deploy cloud-connected hardware, software and mobile applications for the aviation sector, particularly for operators involved in aerial firefighting activities. Our products provide important real-time information to governments and agencies around the world to help them manage aerial assets tasked to wildfire suppression. About the Role A position is open for a Software / Firmware Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the design and development of new products and the maintenance and improvement of existing products. The role includes, but is not limited to: Develop, test and update C & C++ real-time applications on ARM Cortex-M, Atmel AVR and Renesas RXv3 microcontrollers. Develop and maintain a professional standard of code management, test processes and reporting. Develop and maintain internal scripts, tools and hardware for product testing. Perform research and development of software and hardware solutions to solve industry problems and requirements. Collaborate closely with the team to build the next generation of advanced aviation telemetry products. About You Hold a degree qualification in electrical engineering, computer systems, software or equivalent. Have a willingness to learn, study and research different ways to solve problems. Able to work both independently and responsively with a small team of professional colleagues. Possess good analytical skills, absorb problems quickly and work to achieve a solution. Preferred Experience 3+ years software development experience. Experience developing firmware for microcontrollers. Experience releasing and managing production level software/firmware will be highly regarded. Experience developing real-time applications with limited hardware resources will be highly regarded. Required Skills Proficient in C for embedded devices. Motivated and professional, with excellent time management. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal skills.
