Sole Engineer-40m Private MY – Auckland & Fiji Apply Now Are you an engineer looking for a semi land-based role in Auckland? Position Snapshot Auckland based (10 months) Fiji (2 months) Live ashore, 5 day working week Fishing Focus Flexible on COC A high profile 40m Private MY is on the search for a sole engineer to join their established program. The crew largely work a 5-day working week and all maintain a home base in Auckland. The vessel operates purely around NZ waters mostly fishing, 10 months / year Mid-winter the vessel heads to Fiji for a guest trip, with gap in between where the engineer has the opportunity to fly back to New Zealand to for a mini break. Powered by twin MTU engines. The engineer must be hands on and can assimilate well into a small crew environment where everyone pitches in to get the job done, occasionally assisting on deck Handover given from outgoing engineer of several years Great lifestyle role for the right candidate looking to maintain a New Zealand base The Ideal Candidate Trade Qualified or good engineering time on yachts or commercial Flexible on COC Interested in a semi land-based lifestyle in Auckland Good technical knowledge Strong troubleshooting skills Good foresight with spares Great preventative maintenance skills Easy going personality STCW Working rights in NZ Start: Early February 2025 Salary: DOE, paid in NZ Dollars + standard NZ benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
