Solution Architect – Software Quality Engineering Location: Sydney Job type: Permanent, Fixed term contract Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect – Software Quality Engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping the testing strategy, automation framework design, and overall quality assurance process for complex software systems, particularly in the banking domain. Key Responsibilities: Architect and Design: Develop and implement test automation frameworks from scratch tailored to project needs. Domain Expertise: Leverage extensive knowledge of banking domains including payments, retail, and wholesale banking to provide robust testing solutions. Tool Proficiency: Utilize and integrate leading test automation tools such as Selenium, Rest Assured, Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, and Tosca into the QA strategy. Frameworks and Reporting: Work with frameworks like TestNG and BDD (Cucumber) , and implement reporting solutions such as Allure Reporting and Extent Reporting for comprehensive test insights. Comprehensive Testing: Oversee API testing , database validation , and non-functional testing like performance and endurance testing to ensure system robustness. Test Management: Create and implement test strategies, manage test activities using ALM tools like Jira , Azure DevOps , and Zephyr , and establish seamless version control practices. CI/CD and DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to incorporate CI/CD practices using tools such as Azure Pipelines and Jenkins into the testing lifecycle. Requirements: Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Test Architect role, with hands-on expertise in the responsibilities mentioned above. Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of banking processes and workflows, including payments, retail, and wholesale banking systems. Technical Aspect: Proven expertise in building and scaling test automation frameworks and integrating them into enterprise ecosystems. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication to liaise with cross-functional teams effectively.
