Job Description
Solution Architect (IT Strategy and Architecture) Are you an experienced Solution Architect with a passion for developing innovative technology solutions? We’re seeking a talented individual to work within our clients IT Strategy and Architecture service, developing solution architectures and contributing to enterprise architectures that guide system creation and modification. Key Responsibilities: Engage with business leaders to explore and identify technology solutions to address business challenges. Collaborate with senior executives and subject matter experts to evaluate high-level solution options, ensuring maximum return on investment. Develop solution architectures iteratively, ensuring alignment with business goals, system requirements, and enterprise architecture principles. Contribute to procurement processes, technology standards, and methods, including the development of proof-of-concept solutions and reference implementations for Azure-based solutions. Stay current with emerging technologies, continuously expanding your knowledge of industry best practices. Participate in technology short-courses and develop prototypes using Microsoft tools such as Power Apps, Power BI, Azure Infrastructure services, and Power Automate. Present solution architectures to the Architecture Review Board, incorporating feedback and refining designs as necessary. What We’re Looking For: A minimum of 5 years of enterprise IT experience, with at least 2 years producing solution architectures. Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure services and modern architecture techniques (e.g., event-driven architectures, containerisation, API design, etc.). Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect business operations and technology. Ability to manage your own time effectively, prioritising tasks and managing workflow in alignment with stakeholder needs. A solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) principles and experience in writing business requirement and system specification documents. A commitment to the highest standards of child safety and compliance with our health and safety policies. Desirable Qualifications: TOGAF 9 Certification or equivalent enterprise architecture framework. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
