Solutions Architect (Mining Operational Technology Product Development) Are you a Senior Solution Architect with extensive Product Development experience? Do you want to work on a leading-edge Mining Operational Technology product that is used globally to manage surface mines operations using robotics/automation for mine haul trucks, blast hole drilling machines, and dozers? A large multi-national with a Software Product Development Centre here in Brisbane , which is part of a wider effort with significant teams in the US and India , needs you to join their Solutions Architecture team. As a senior member of the team, you will be working to evolve the product suite in close collaboration with a wide variety of business, customer, and leadership stakeholders for Fleet Management, Autonomous Command and Control, and Production Recording capabilities across large and small mining operations on a global scale. Your responsibilities will include: Lead/contribute to the alignment of the product technical direction with enterprise strategy Lead/contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical roadmaps for the product suite Lead/contribute to Solution Architecture Designs in collaboration with various teams within the organization Engage and support commercial teams with solution direction and lifetime estimation of feature development Collaborate with different product lines within the organization to propose and create solution-level designs Ensure product feature developments are executed in accordance with the technical roadmap Skills/Experience Required: Extensive Software Product Development experience A bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related discipline Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills Strong collaboration skills with local and remote teams Able to communicate technical information effectively and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences Experience in various software designs, languages, databases, and architecture patterns Experience developing and deploying software in both cloud and on-prem ecosystems Experience in Cloud-Based Technologies Desired skills and experience: Willingness to travel interstate and internationally to support the role (approx. 25% travel commitment) Willingness to undertake training and professional certifications as required Previous experience working as a System and Solution Architect within a product delivery organization Previous experience in the mining business domain and/or mining technology OEM It’s an office-based role (5 days per week with flexible hours) based in the Brisbane CBD near Central Station & bus stops. This is a contract role running for an initial period of 12 months. Strong performers will be extended as the work is ongoing.
