Permanent opportunity with real room for growth State Government client are seeking a Sourcing Analyst to join their team.Your new company Our client are an integral part of the Victorian health sector, with responsibility for the delivery of a broad range of services to support health outcomes for Victorians.Your new role Working as part of a diverse and experienced procurement team, this analytically focused role will be responsible for: Providing analytical support for the sourcing team, including sales report analysis, evaluation of costing, and development of reporting to assist decision-making Designing sourcing approaches, identifying opportunities for category rationalisation and contributing to financial modelling Cleansing and categorising expenditure data to ensure it is applicable and provides actionable insights Identification of trends Collation of supplier pricing responses and working with the Senior/Category Manager and the Clinical & Technical team to cleanse the responses to an acceptable level for presentation to broader stakeholder groups Executing best value analysis to support tenders Reporting on Rfx, variations, contract extensions, and other ad hoc procurement projects What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you will be a well-versed and highly commercial analyst with experience operating through ambiguity, interpreting complex data sets and producing insights for broad stakeholder groups.Experience working within a procurement team will be beneficial but non-essential, though experience working with financial or/or supply chain data sets is a non-negotiable. You must also have strong Power BI exposure and strong Excel capability.Post-graduate qualifications in supply chain, finance, business, procurement will also be advantageous.What you'll get in return This is an excellent chance to join a best-in-class procurement team, working on a variety of interesting projects which have a real impact on Victoria's health sector.No two days will be the same in this role, and you will work in a highly flexible culture, with 2-3 days a week in the office, and the ability to work from hubs in both the East and West of Melbourne, as well as the CBD.
