The Role The ALS Central procurement department in Stafford is seeking a Sourcing and Contract Manager to join a team that strives to exceed client expectations by delivering quality results on time. Working with a team of highly professional personnel, and reporting to the Head of Procurement (APAC), this position includes national & international purchasing, strategic procurement and logistics support for ALS global operations with the main focus on Australian operations. The successful applicant will be a seasoned professional, with deep procurement and contract management experience. It is envisaged that this person will be a quick learner and will adapt to our unique business requirements from the ground up. This position is open for an accomplished Procurement / Supply chain professional, with a drive for excellence, attention to detail and a commitment to the Procurement profession. The salary range for this role is 90-100k. The day to day Responsibilities include: Interact with key stakeholders in identifying business needs, building relationships. Conduct RFP/RFQ’s as per identified Business needs & negotiate best possible price, terms & conditions, and delivery schedules. Establish contracts for supply of Goods and Services with selected suppliers meeting business and statutory requirements. Manage contract variation requirements and re-negotiate contracts with suppliers where possible to generate savings and/or further value for spend. Prepare summaries and present results of strategic sourcing initiatives. Conduct risk analysis of contracts and advise stakeholders on concerns and available solutions. Manage and maintain Contract repository including other relevant documentation and support any internal/external audit requirements. Address and resolve any inquiries and issues related to Contracts executed with vendors. Develop and periodically review ALS contract Terms & Conditions in consultation with internal/external stakeholders (operations, legal, vendors, consultants) for business use ensuring compliance with up-to-date legislative requirements and market best practices. Understanding of Category management, and application in spend categorization. Conduct Data analysis to generate new value add opportunities for the business. Maintain positive working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. Measuring & Managing supplier and contract performance (Quality, Cost, Delivery and Management). Developing and leading new supply sources (Advanced Sourcing, Dual Sourcing) while supporting daily responsibilities. Interfacing positively with internal cross-functional organizations and suppliers. Complying with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics. Supporting other initiatives/activities as directed by senior management. Provide outstanding customer service and ensure customer satisfaction. Review supplies, works and services to ensure compliance with company procedures and best procurement practice. The essentials The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities: Required: Bachelor’s degree. Preferred: Degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, or related area or a professional Supply Chain Management Qualification such as MCIPS, APICS, CPSM, CSCMP (or in Progress). Masters qualified in Supply Chain Management will be an advantage. 2-5 years of procurement experience in a complex manufacturing setting including ERP. Experience in ERP and cloud-based Source 2 pay solutions including implementation. Advanced knowledge and skills with the Internet, data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of the entire procurement process including Contract administration and management. Ability to be accurate, responsive, follow-through, multi-tasking, and close attention to detail are essential. Ability to be team-oriented as well as work independently, results-driven, positive attitude, and be active with the entire procurement process. Ability to organize workload efficiently, meet tight timelines, problem solve effectively, and perform duties of the job accurately and with input and follow-up from management.
