Job Description
A prominent manufacturer in the gas & technologies industry is seeking a Sourcing Specialist / Procurement Specialist with expertise in transport. This role focuses on sourcing transportation services, negotiating contracts, and optimizing logistics to ensure efficient delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the transportation sector, and bring to the role a wealth of experience navigating the fast & refined process of logistics transport for assets. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for transportation services. Identify and evaluate potential transport suppliers. Negotiate contracts and pricing with transport service providers. Collaborate with internal teams to align transportation needs. Monitor transport performance and identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain relationships with transport vendors and resolve issues. Stay informed on industry trends and regulations. Review contracts to ensure compliance and performance standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. 8+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, focused on transportation. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
