Southbound Adventures is a small, family-owned Outdoor Education company with over 30 years of experience delivering exceptional Outdoor Education programs to school students from Kindergarten through to Year 12, with our core work focusing on Years 7 to 10. We specialise in Bronze, Silver, and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journeys, particularly Gold expeditions on the Overland Track in Tasmania! Based by the beach in the Illawarra, we operate across a diverse range of venues, including over 25 National Parks and 34 locations. We have a variety of Group Leader, Canoe Instructor, Roping Instructor, and Mountain Bike Instructor roles available for 2024, continuing into 2025 and beyond. Applicants should display: An enthusiastic attitude to life and work A desire to achieve beyond their expectations A desire to educate students in an Outdoor Environment A desire to teach the importance of our natural environment and how to minimise our impact A confidence to operate in wilderness environments An ability to inspire students An effective communicator with team members, teachers, and students Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain: Current driver’s license or the ability to obtain one A Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership or equivalent; Cert III will be acceptable for some roles A wilderness first aid or equivalent As part of our commitment to child safety, applicants require a Paid NSW WWCC and National Police check Must be a minimum of 18 years of age This opportunity includes: Being part of a high-performing team. Payment as per the Miscellaneous Award starting from: Southbound Level 1 (Award Level 3) – Day Rate for Field Day: 12 hrs + 1.5hr unpaid breaks - $421.09/day midweek Level 2 & 3 Rates applicable for additional experience and qualifications: Level 2 - $444.25/day midweek Level 3 - $459.41/day midweek Per Hour Field Day – 10 hrs Base + 2 hrs Overtime + 1.5hr unpaid breaks (Mon to Fri = $421.09) Mon – Fri: $33.96 for the first 10 hours Sat: $39.40 for the first 10 hours Sun: $47.55 for the first 10 hours Overtime First 3 hours (Monday to Sunday): $40.76 Overtime after 3 hours (Monday to Sunday): $54.34 Superannuation: 11.5% paid additional to wages above To Apply Please send through expressions of interest to Saxon Mather via the contact details provided below...
