About Special Care Nursery We are a state-of-the-art level 4 special care service delivering safe, high-quality care to neonates . We provide care for neonates requiring specialised medical and nursing support born within our hospital from 32 weeks gestation . Our nursery also provides care for neonates transferred from other hospitals as part of the neonatal network and ongoing care for downward transfers from tertiary facilities from 30 weeks’ gestation. We are a forward-thinking unit that has implemented improvements in care based on the latest evidence. This role will provide opportunities to undertake comprehensive educational programs in neonatal care, as well as being involved in advancing further improvements in neonatal care. About the Role The SCN Registered Nurse will work as part of the Special Nursery care team, adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective, and economic running of the unit, participate in working parties or committees (as required), demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement through National Safety & Quality Healthcare Service (NSQHS) Standards, Workplace Health and Safety, achievement of the NBH accreditation, and deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
