About the Role This role provides technical expertise focused on maintaining and governance of BHP Projects' data management creating opportunities for value creation and preservation by enabling MAP-wider standardisation, replication and continuity and working on prioritised improvements of reports and digital solutions. Key accountabilities: Develops and adheres to data management principles, processes and systems, strategies and governance standards and integrates multiple sources of project information to drive the accurate capture of project information across the project life-cycle. Understands the MAP market and customer base for our projects service and can apply a MAP perspective/scale for proposed solutions. Supports project data management strategies to drive continuous improvement and replication of best practices across projects while optimising value for the long term. Interfaces with all regions project stakeholders to ensure that our strategy aligns to our customers' requirements and the broader BHP data roadmap. Collaborates with technology teams to optimise the MAP priorities as needed. Uses, stores, classifies and manages data/metadata to maintain the quality and integrity of BHP data and ensure compliance with data security, privacy and legal requirements. Runs and cleanses reports to remove errors and improve the quality of master data across BHP. Aware of risks, makes risk-informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and participates in a risk-aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes. Understands and implements governance/assurance practices and Management of Change procedures to control value outcomes across BHP. About You Essential experience to be successful in this role: Experience in Projects business systems, including 1SAP, Excel, Planview, Ecosys, P6. Experience in continuous improvement cycles/projects. Experience with KPI definition and management. Understanding of data modelling for business requirements is well regarded. Required Skills: Power BI Experience. Coding and data engineering skills including Python, Java and/or Flutter. Understanding of LLM. Strong analytical skills with a focus on enhancing value. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
