Specialist & Emergency Veterinary Nurse - Opportunities Australia Wide Full-time Greencross Vet is one of the largest veterinary groups in Australia. We are looking to recruit several veterinary nurses for our Greencross AREN Specialist and Emergency hospitals across Australia. Responsibilities Holding animals to allow examination and treatment by Veterinarians. Cleaning and sterilising examination tables and equipment. Preparing instruments and handing them to the Veterinarian. Assisting Veterinarians in administering anaesthetics and oxygen during operations. Placing animals in cages for recovery from operations and monitoring their condition. Giving medications to animals. Maintaining stock control and records. Providing animal care advice and preparing, delivering, and reviewing animal care education programs. May perform diagnostic laboratory tests. Experienced veterinary nurses can expect to earn a salary between $73,150. International veterinary nurses with a minimum of 2 years full-time post-qualification experience may be eligible for sponsorship through Greencross Vets. Minimum four weeks of annual leave and paid maternity leave. Continuing education programs. Mental health first aid officers at each clinic.
