Come and be a part of this success. About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven professional to join our BMA Financial Planning and Reporting team. This team works very closely with Finance Business Partners and site teams. The role is a permanent position based in the Brisbane office, with monthly site travel required. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Review monthly production performance and cost outcomes to ensure accuracy and provide insightful commentary for reporting. Coordination of financial budgets and forecasts including engaging with operational teams and the preparation and presentation of information sessions/budget outcomes. Engaging with and supporting Superintendents to deliver budget and forecast outcomes. Work with site and functional teams to understand key mining processes and associated cost drivers. Analyse outputs of budgets and quarterly forecasts for variability and improvement opportunities focusing on driving performance to benchmarks. Collaborate with the Finance Business Partners to influence and challenge site teams in cost control, productivity, and efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. Ad-hoc analysis and development of tools and reporting to communicate hypotheses and financial recommendations. Coach and build business acumen with key stakeholders in financial knowledge and demonstrate the use of effective business systems to determine cost and budget outcomes and to improve understanding of financial implications of decision making. About You Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Someone who has the drive to independently and efficiently problem solve. Strong analytical skills to identify emerging trends, understand drivers, highlight performance improvement opportunities and influence key decisions which deliver value. Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain collaborative, effective and outcomes-based working relationships with diverse teams and individuals. Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships, communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation to drive the right value outcomes for BHP. Advanced Excel skills. Able to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Interest in understanding the mining sector including the end-to-end process/value chain. A passion for displaying financial data in an impactful way to drive action/facilitate understanding.
