About the Health Service This leading health service provides specialist older persons' mental health care across inpatient and community settings. Position Details As a Specialist in Older Persons Mental Health , you will:- Provide specialist psychiatric assessment and care for older adults with complex mental health conditions.- Work across inpatient and community settings, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.- Participate in an on-call roster and contribute to governance, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and contribute to postgraduate training programs.- Engage in research activities and maintain strong academic links with leading universities. Job Details Full-time, permanent position Salary: AUD $305,300 - $404,970 per annum (pro rata for part-time) Benefits Competitive remuneration, including attraction and retention incentives.Generous leave provisions, including up to 4 weeks of training/education leave.Salary packaging options with tax benefits. Requirements Qualifications : MBBS or equivalent, with specialist registration in psychiatry (AHPRA). Essential Skills & Experience : Advanced training in Psychiatry of Old Age (Certificate of Advanced Training preferred). Experience in inpatient and community psychiatric care for older adults. Ability to provide ECT services and fulfil statutory and credentialing requirements. Strong leadership, supervision, and teaching capabilities.
