Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist - Anatomical Pathologist - PAH Job title: Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist - Anatomical Pathologist - PAH Type of position: Specialist(s) Location Country: QLD - Australia Company name: Pathology Queensland - Queensland Health Discipline: Anatomical Pathology Job reference number: QLD/620805 Description: Permanent part-time Anatomical Pathologist required for 48 hrs per fortnight. Seeking the best suited applicant to join our friendly team of Medical Health Professionals. This role will provide timely, efficient, high quality and cost-effective Anatomical Pathology diagnostic and consultation services, which meet the clinical needs of referrers statewide. Key competencies (role specific criteria) Demonstrated contemporary knowledge, skills and ability in Anatomical Pathology, participate in the local and remote frozen section service, perform on-site and remote MDTs, be able to participate in the after-hours on-call roster, and a high level of professionalism required in the position, especially objectivity. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills necessary for all aspects of the position. Demonstrated skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to conduct relevant training, teaching, research, investigation, analysis and management. Knowledge of the ISO 15189 and NATA Medical Testing Requirements demonstrating continued accreditation in your clinical specialty for all laboratories across a diverse network. Qualifications, registrations and other requirements Mandatory requirements are a medical qualification and tertiary qualification in Anatomical Pathology (FRCPA, or equivalent) and be registerable with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Specialist Pathologist. The incumbents must be Fellows of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia or equivalent. It is mandatory prior to commencement as a staff specialist that you have obtained your fellowship with the RCPA, specialist registration with AHPRA and credentialing with Pathology Queensland.
