Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our Early Childhood Intervention Services team. This position plays a critical role in providing high-quality, family-centred services to children experiencing developmental delays or disabilities, empowering them and their families to thrive in their community. Location: Inner Northern SuburbsPosition Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities: Child and Family Support: Monitor and evaluate child development goals to ensure ongoing service effectiveness. Provide feedback and support through progress notes and regular discussions with families and caregivers. Support children in various settings (home, schools, community programs) and ensure culturally responsive services. Speech Pathology Expertise: Provide specialist speech pathology services to support children's speech, language, feeding, and social skills. Administer assessments and develop tailored therapy plans to achieve high-quality outcomes. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to deliver integrated support tailored to the unique goals of the child and family. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, offering consultancy and training to ensure inclusive practices in the community. Quality and Compliance: Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain best practice standards in line with organisational policies and legislative requirements. Engage in quality improvement and risk management practices to ensure high service standards. Key Selection Criteria: A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist. Proven experience in early intervention services for children and families, following best practice guidelines. Knowledge and experience in both typical and atypical child development and the strategies to facilitate developmental progress in early childhood. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and support agencies, particularly for complex child and family needs. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience in working within a billable model and understanding of NDIS guidelines . A current Working with Children Check , NDIS Worker Screening , and a valid driver's licence . #J-18808-Ljbffr
