Position Overview: As a Staff Specialist Geriatrician, you will be responsible for delivering holistic, patient-centered care to elderly patients, focusing on complex health conditions and multi-disciplinary care. The role offers the opportunity to shape geriatric services within a leading regional hospital, enhance patient outcomes, and provide training and guidance to junior medical staff. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive geriatric assessments and manage acute, subacute, and rehabilitation cases Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated, quality care in both inpatient and outpatient settings Drive continuous improvement and service development within geriatric medicine Provide mentorship, education, and support to junior medical staff and allied health teams Participate in on-call rosters and contribute to a positive team culture Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or an Advanced Trainee in the final 6 months of training approaching fellowship and/or proof of recognition as a specialist by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committee.
