Job Description

The Role Full-time Staff Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. The Location This regional cathedral city boasts a diversity of cultural, outdoor and sporting activities seldom found anywhere else. Located only two hours north of Melbourne, the area features magnificent food and wine, glorious weather and all the attractions and activities you could imagine in a regional city. Restaurants abound throughout the region, offering an international taste experience to suit all palates. The Hospital A 228 bed acute and extended care facility which provides surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care and psychiatry services as well as extended care and regional services servicing a catchment population of around 90,000. The O&G department offers specialist level care of patients in a level 4 Obstetric Unit. In this position, the O&G Specialist is expected to provide General Gynaecology services. The Requirements Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or ability to gain registration. Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) (or equivalent) and ability to gain fellowship to RANZCOG.
