Job Description

Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist (Specialist Nutrition Support Team) Permanent part time opportunity to provide general gastroenterology care and endoscopic services, with a major sub-specialty focus on all inpatient and outpatient services pertaining to patients with complex nutritional needs. Provide tertiary level clinical care for inpatients and outpatients requiring artificial nutrition support and associated gastroenterology services (including, but not limited to, Home Parenteral Nutrition (HPN), Inpatient Parenteral Nutrition (IPPN), Enteral Nutrition (EN), and the management of devices). About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values: Operate as professionally responsible to the Clinical Director of Gastroenterology and provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational and departmental goals. Provide expert leadership in gastroenterology, clinical and service improvement activities. Maintain Continuous Professional Development requirements per the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Participate in Department, Service Line, Hospital and Clinical stream teaching and training activities.
